Course hosting that doesn’t make learners wait.

Managed TutorLMS hosting from Bridgia, tuned for the moments your platform is busiest: quiz deadlines, cohort launches, certificate day. Priced by the learners you serve, and run by the engineer who built it.

We moved a 35,000-learner platform off a premium managed host. Pages that queued for 44 seconds now load in under one.

Average wait per page0.9 s

Each dot is a learner’s request. Switch hosts to see what one shared worker queue does under exam-week load.

Why course platforms struggle on generic hosting

Online courses don’t get steady traffic. They get a thousand learners submitting the same quiz in the same ten minutes. Generic managed hosts are sized for the average day, so the busy hour is exactly when they fail.

On our proof case the database was healthy and the code was fine. Every page, even robots.txt, took about 44 seconds, because each request was waiting in line for one of 53 shared PHP workers.

On a generic managed host

  • Timeouts at peak. Shared PHP worker queues fill up and learners wait in line.
  • Surprise bills. Tiered plans add overage charges as your cohort grows.
  • Locked controls. OPcache, Redis and PHP limits sit behind support tickets.
  • Their backups, their rules. Restores depend on the host’s own panel working.

On Bridgia

  • Tuned PHP-FPM pools sized to your concurrent learners, not a shared queue.
  • Redis object cache configured for TutorLMS, so course pages skip repeat database work.
  • Off-site backups on separate storage, independent of the server they protect.
  • Real monitoring of CPU, memory and PHP workers per site, watched by a person.
  • LMS-specific tuning: cron, email queues and log tables kept from swelling your database.

Priced by learners, sized for your busiest hour

Every plan includes SSL, off-site backups, monitoring and a direct line to the engineer who runs your server.

Priced for your busiest moment — concurrent capacity, not just headcount.

Everything a course platform needs, already running

Off-site backups

Daily copies to separate storage, checked by restoring them, not just by making them.

Free SSL

Certificates issued and renewed automatically for every domain and alias.

Staging sites

Try a plugin update or a new course layout on a private copy before learners see it.

Monitoring

Per-site CPU, memory and PHP worker graphs, with alerts that reach a person.

Caching

Server page cache, Redis object cache and OPcache sized for large LMS codebases.

Migration

We move your site, users, enrolments and certificates. You keep teaching.

LMS tuning

Cron, email queues and log tables kept in check so the database stays lean.

Direct support

Message the engineer who runs your server. No ticket tiers, no scripts.

Already on another host? We handle the move.

We’ve done it at scale: a 35,000-learner TutorLMS platform, moved off a premium managed host with its courses, accounts and certificates intact.

  1. Audit We profile your site: plugins, database size, scheduled jobs and outgoing email.
  2. Rehearse A full copy runs on our servers and is tested privately before any DNS changes.
  3. Cut over A final sync in a quiet window, then the DNS switch. Learners see the same site, faster.
  4. Watch Your old host stays as a fallback for a week while we monitor the new one.

Proof case: 35,000+ learners and 18 GB of course files and certificates, with a database trimmed from 55 GB of log bloat to under 3 GB before the move.

Questions we get asked

How do you count learners?

By registered learner accounts on your LMS. We size the server for your busiest hour, such as a quiz deadline or cohort launch, so the plan reflects concurrent use as well as headcount.

What happens if we outgrow our plan?

Move up a tier whenever you need to. We’ll tell you before you get close, and no overage charge appears on a bill without a conversation first.

Is this only for TutorLMS?

It’s tuned for TutorLMS because that’s what we run at scale. LearnDash, LifterLMS and plain WordPress sites run well too; ask and we’ll check your stack.

Can we keep our domain and email?

Yes. We only change the records that point your website at us. Your email stays where it is unless you want us to handle transactional mail as well.

How long does a migration take?

Most sites go from audit to cutover within a week. The switch itself happens in one planned window measured in hours, with your old host kept as a fallback.

Where are the servers?

In a data centre in Germany, with backups stored by a separate provider so a problem in one place can’t take both out.

Who will we actually talk to?

The engineer who builds and runs your server. No tiered helpdesk, no handoffs.

Tell us how many learners you have.

We’ll reply with a plan, a price and a migration date, usually within one working day.
